Truffle Hunt & Wine Tasting

Discover the secrets and traditional techniques in a real hunt for the precious white or black truffle with a professional "Trifolao" and his inseparable dog. Understand how, where and why truffles grow in our area, how dogs are trained, learn the differences between white and black truffles and enjoy the intense aroma. You will meet the guide at the meeting point, follow her car to one of the secret places where the "Trifolao" awaits you for a pleasant nature walk in search of truffles!   After the search you can enjoy a wine tasting in a typical family-run winery where you will taste different wines including the renowned Barolo, accompanied by small samples of typical and local products such as salami or cheese and breadsticks. White truffle season: from 1st of Oct. to 31st of Jan.-black truffle: different types at different times of the year. Truffles found during the search are not included but can be purchased from Trifolao. During the autumn season, warm and comfortable clothing is recommended, rain coats and rubber boots are available. A car it's necessary to move between Alba, the woods and the winery.
