In the beautiful, mountainous prefecture of Yamanashi, one delicious regional Yamanashi dish is called hoto. This is a type of udon that has thick, flat noodles served in a light broth (often miso) stewed with some tasty local vegetables. You’ll be making Yamanashi food at an old Japanese guesthouse in Fujiyoshida, complete with traditional decor and beautiful views of Mount Fuji, making for a lovely cooking atmosphere. During this Yamanashi cooking class, you’ll make a delicious dish, one being the traditional noodle dish of hoto.
From making the dough, to rolling, to cutting, and boiling the hoto noodles; you’ll be a noodle expert at the end of this exciting class. After cooking, you’ll enjoy your delicious Yamanashi food with a delicious complimentary Yamanashi sake tasting.
