Chiso Nakamura
Take in the four seasons of Japan in a tea house-like restaurant in Fukuoka, savoring skillfully prepared traditional dishes.
Restaurant Details
The mastermind behind Chiso Nakamura is Toru Nakamura, a highly reputable and famous master chef who spent years refining his culinary skills in Kyoto before heading back home to Kitakyushu. His move to Hakata called for a refurbishing of the restaurant — with the help of a Kyoto architect, Aki Sugihara, the interior has a classic-modern hybrid atmosphere. With materials including soil, stones, and pillars retrieved from Kyoto itself, it doesn’t get much more nostalgic than that.
Leave up to the master chef Nakamura to serve you the best that Japanese cuisine can offer for the season. All of the ingredients are sourced locally from the prefecture and combine that with the expert skills of the head chef, the kaiseki cuisine at Chiso Nakamura introduces an array of flavors that you can only taste here. Not only will you be indulging in a luxurious traditional feast, but you will also appreciate and discover kaiseki cuisine culture in the modern day.
