Kamenoya is a longstanding soba shop in Aomori that opened over 120 years ago. There are 14 kinds of soba dishes on the menu, 4 kinds of Chinese ramen dishes, and 3 kinds of rice bowls. They use homemade Chinese-style noodles, which are very popular at this restaurant. If you visit Kamenoya, you won’t want to miss their secret menu item: ten-chuka (800 yen). The soup looks beautifully clear and tastes light with a good balance of saltiness and flavors from both the fish and meat broth. On top of the noodles, you’ll find scallop tempura, one half crunchy and the other half soaked in the delicious soup. If you are looking for a ramen and soba shop in Aomori Prefecture, Kamenoya would be the best place for you.
