Restaurant Details
With its original Azabu-juban outlet having held a Michelin Star for eight consecutive years, Yokota restaurants across the country have a lofty reputation to uphold. But guests can expect the same excellence from the original across every restaurant that bears the Yokota name.
Umeda Sushi Yokota is no exception. Like many of the other Yokota restaurants, it has diversified its product offerings from just tempura to offering a combination of both tempura and sushi. Yokota is famously known for being not just very particular about the purity and composition of its tempura oil and batter, but even going so far as to measure the time in which the tempura is immersed in the hot oil, right down to the second.
It goes without saying that the restaurant is similarly particular about the standards in which its sushi is made. Seafood purchased from the market daily are made into seasonal dishes, incorporating luxurious ingredients such as abalone in liver sauce, and a rice bowl with salmon roe, caviar and sea urchin. The course menus are designed such that diners can relish the crunch of tempura interspersed with the firm texture and rich flavor of nigiri sushi — an experience that no other restaurant does like Yokota.
