The omakase experience at Sushi Mitsuyoshi was exceptional. The servers were amazing, keeping us engaged and entertained throughout the meal, and the food was of the highest quality. I would definitely recommend Sushi Mitsuyoshi to anyone looking to experience omakase in Tokyo.

Everything was absolutely delicious, but the anago (sea eel) was definitely one of my favorites. It was incredibly soft and practically melted in my mouth. The otoro was also amazing. This was actually my first omakase sushi experience, and I loved every minute of it. What made it especially memorable was how every ingredient was explained, including where it came from and what made it special. Being able to watch the chef work right in front of us also gave me a completely different appreciation for the amount of skill and care that goes into each piece. The atmosphere was intimate and welcoming, and everything felt very relaxed despite how refined the experience was. As someone who is quite a big person, I also had a good laugh trying to crawl into the little tea room at the end of the meal. Definitely an experience I won’t forget! I had a wonderful time here and would absolutely recommend it, especially if you’re looking to experience omakase sushi in a more intimate and traditional setting.

I had a truly memorable omakase sushi experience at Okuakasaka Tanji. Each piece of sushi was beautifully presented, with its place of origin thoughtfully introduced, adding another layer to the experience. My favorite was the sea eel — incredibly fluffy and tender, literally melting in my mouth. I also really enjoyed talking with Chef Tatsuo, who was friendly and smiling throughout the evening. His warm personality created such a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. He told me that sushi is his lifelong passion and that he refined his skills through years of trial and error. You could really feel the dedication and love he puts into his craft. The experience was followed by a tea ceremony. We entered the tea room through a secret entrance, which made the experience feel even more special and intimate. An Onshu mikan daifuku was waiting for us, paired with carefully prepared green tea. The delicate sweetness of the daifuku went beautifully with the tea. Overall, this was much more than a sushi dinner — it was an experience filled with craftsmanship, warmth, and Japanese tradition. A wonderful 5/5 experience that I would happily repeat.

I had such a fun and memorable experience at Okuakasaka Sushi Tanji! :sushi: Chef Tatsuo-san has 12 years of experience making sushi, and what made the experience even more special was how friendly and welcoming he was. He speaks English very well and communicated with us in both Japanese and English, explaining the origins of the sushi ingredients, the preparation, and many interesting details along the way. All the sushi were absolutely delicious, and we could watch the chef prepare everything right in front of us. It felt much more personal than simply having a meal. After the sushi dinner, we also enjoyed a traditional tea ceremony where matcha was prepared for us. :tea: From the food and craftsmanship to the conversation and tea ceremony, it was a wonderful taste of an authentic Japanese dining experience. Highly recommended if you want great sushi and a fun cultural experience together!

I've been to several top Omakase's in Tokyo, but decided to give this new restaurant a try. Very glad that I did. Chef's skills are evident, and he is fun to talk with. The whole experience felt relaxed. His nigiri rice is well-prepared, and there is a hint of vinegar taste which is a sign that the chef is well-trained. I will definitely return!

We were seated right at the teppanyaki counter, directly in front of the grill. The room holds only a handful of seats, which makes the whole evening feel private and unhurried. The chef is warm and easy to talk to, the ingredients are clearly high quality, and every dish was delicious. A memorable evening from start to finish. Highly recommended.

Since I had made a reservation, a waiter quickly led us to a prepared room. Kani Doraku's crabs are consistently of high quality. Whether it's crab sashimi or a whole frozen crab, they are all very sweet and fresh. The only thing to note is that their waiters are not always around to help you. If you need anything, you must call them. They are very reluctant to send a waiter over.
