Experience Details

Asakusa is often known for its temples, riverside views, and street food. Still, after dark, it reveals a different side filled with small sake breweries and hidden izakaya.

Away from Tokyo's busier nightlife districts, this area offers a more local way to experience drinking culture.

Your English-speaking guide will lead you through three stops that showcase different styles of Japanese drinks.

The experience begins at a sake brewery in the heart of Asakusa, where you will sample three types of sake, including doburoku, a rare cloudy rice wine known for its rich, slightly sweet character.

Next, you will head to a local street lined with small bars and casual eateries. Here, you will try hoppy, a classic Tokyo drink with a beer-like flavor that is often mixed with sake or shochu.

At two different izakayas, you will enjoy one drink and one dish at each stop while experiencing the relaxed atmosphere of local nightlife.

The tour ends at Asakusa Yokocho, a lively area filled with food stalls and bars, where you are free to continue exploring at your own pace.
