As the chef prepares fresh fish, you'll see the careful knife work that defines traditional sushi making. You will learn how to prepare sushi rice, explore the importance of quality ingredients, and discover what makes each piece taste its best.
You'll also discover one of the essential foundations of Japanese cuisine by tasting freshly prepared dashi before learning how it is used to make delicate chawanmushi, a savory steamed egg custard enjoyed in traditional Japanese meals.
Under the chef's guidance, experience preparing shellfish before making three pieces of sushi yourself. Then create a futomaki roll and grate fresh wasabi, appreciating the bright aroma and gentle heat it brings to sushi.
