Experience Details
Experience a tea ceremony in an authentic tearoom of a 130-year-old Kyoto townhouse! Would you like to spend a relaxing and extraordinary time away from the hustle and bustle of tourist spots? It all starts when you sneak into the tearoom from the garden! Enjoy delicious dried sweets from historic Japanese confectionery shops while watching the instructor's demonstration. Afterwards, you will make your own matcha tea. We will also provide detailed instructions on how to make matcha even for beginners. You will learn: -the history and culture of tea ceremony -how to appreciate and drink matcha -how to make matcha by yourself -and more! The tea ceremony is said to be a comprehensive art culture that Japan is proud of. How about making some memories of Kyoto?

Remarks
Please wear or bring socks of any color. (This is because white socks are required in the tea ceremony culture to enter the tea room clean both mentally and physically.)
If you arrive barefoot, socks can be purchased at an additional cost (200 yen).
Please refrain from wearing large rings other than wedding rings as they may damage the utensils.
Avoid wearing strong perfumes. (Please enjoy the aroma of tea and incense.)
