Your host introduces the history and meaning of the tea ceremony in a clear, approachable way, focusing on the small details that shape the experience.
Rather than a large group demonstration, the session is personal, allowing time to observe and understand each movement.
You will first watch a traditional tea ceremony performed with careful, deliberate gestures. Every motion, from preparing the utensils to serving the tea, reflects a sense of balance and attention.
After the demonstration, you will prepare your own matcha using traditional tools. With guidance from your host, you will learn how to whisk the tea and handle each step with care. Making the tea yourself deepens your appreciation of the process.
Once prepared, you will enjoy your matcha alongside Japanese sweets selected to complement its flavor. The setting remains quiet and steady, giving you time to take in the atmosphere and reflect on the experience.

No prior knowledge is needed, and chairs or stools are available for guests who prefer not to sit on the floor.

- Wear or bring socks, ideally white, as required for entering the tea room
- Socks can be purchased onsite for 200 yen if needed
- Avoid wearing large rings (wedding rings are fine) to protect the utensils
