Your host is a friendly wagashi expert who will guide you in making wagashi and explain the cultural significance of these traditional confectioneries. Having lived in China and the United States, she brings a global approach to her classes and enjoys connecting guests from all over the world with the ancient traditions and fascinating history of wagashi confectioneries.
Upon arriving at your host’s kitchen in Yokohama, you will first be introduced to the cultural background and history of traditional Japanese sweets before you get hands-on experience making your own. Your host will guide you step-by-step in your efforts, teaching you tips and tricks to make two delicate sweet bean paste confectioneries that will be naturally gluten-free. After perfecting your sweets, she will guide you through preparing fresh matcha green tea to go with your sweets.

Children 3 years old and under who don't participate in the experience can join for free.
