Embark on a captivating journey to Niigata Prefecture, where the mesmerizing coastline casts a net for the most exquisite fish. This coastal haven–along the western edge of Japan–is a treasure trove of seafood wonders, but the region's fame extends to its rice aka the foundation of Japanese cooking. Join an experience that combines the two with a sushi-making class taught by a professionally trained chef! From slicing the fish and shaping the rice to assembling and plating these bite-sized delights, you’ll master it all using fresh seafood sourced from the local market.
Your guide for the day? A professionally trained sushi master boasting 50+ years of experience. While this sushi savant speaks Japanese, fret not, for a skillful guide will be your trusty sidekick, bridging the language gap with ease.
Our rendezvous unfolds at an authentic restaurant, where a tantalizing world of flavors awaits. Here, you’ll change into pro-chef costume to put you in the right mindset–dress like a pro, act like a pro! You’ll craft sushi with fish plucked from the ocean's embrace on the very morning of your experience.
