Deep-fried and crispy on the outside, tender and soft on the inside, tempura can be prepared with a number of ingredients from vegetables to seafood to meat. Due to tempura’s versatility, this Tempura Cooking Class can make accommodations for vegan, vegetarian, and Halal diets, so everyone can enjoy this popular Japanese dish. Amazingly crisp and light without the oiliness of other fried foods, the recipe to make tempura is specially formulated to maximize crunchiness. Learn the secret to tempura’s deliciousness in this Tempura Cooking Class, where you’ll make 3 pieces of vegetable tempura, 2 pieces of seafood tempura, and 1 piece of mix tempura, to be enjoyed alongside a clear soup, steamed rice, and chilled tofu. Meeting Point and Meeting Time
Corowa Koshien Koshien Takashio-cho 3-3, Nishinomiya, Hyogo 663-8166 We will meet in front of the elevator on the 1st floor of Corowa Koshien. This building is located on the right side of the west exit of Koshien Station on the Hanshin Line. Please meet 10 minutes before the activity start time.
Remarks
The tempura recipe uses flour (gluten) and shrimp.
This class can accommodate vegan, vegetarian, and Halal diets (the class does not use pork and it is possible to change to Halal seasonings).
Please request the class 3 days in advance so the host has time to prepare.
