The day trip with Tako was fantastic and delightful! Before the tour, she already shared many insights and detailed instructions on how to get to the meeting point. She was ever so curious, and we had no problem at all finding newer and newer topics to discuss about each other's cultures. The program is well-organised, and Tako has prepared additional materials to demonstrate Japanese culture – we learned so much about the blend of Shinto and Buddhism, sake and soy sauce making, the history of the country trails, and more. The ladies at the temple were charming, friendly, helpful, and generous. I felt so lucky and grateful to get to meet them and the story behind building such a strong community. We ate the best vegetarian menu set in Japan, with beautiful plating, which they guided us through each step. 🍱 I highly recommend this day trip to anyone who wants to move farther from the main tourist attractions to get indulged with more local stories, which may or may not include a half-eyed frog. 🐸 Thank you, Taki, for the experience! ✨

So amazing, thank you to our host Haime who went above and beyond. This vegan option for those who follow the diet, don’t eat raw fish, or want to learn a different way have to try. He went above and beyond to explain everything and invited us to dine in their restaurant for dinner, including making us a vegan dinner. I can’t recommend the class enough and look forward to teaching my family the recipe. Thank you, Haime!

My cooking lesson with Yuka was perfect! She was very organized, her instructions were very clear, and time was well managed. The food I learned to make was delicious and easy enough that I feel confident I can make it again when I return home, and no now I have the recipes she gave me to help. I’m very happy with my experience.

Hide was a very friendly and well-prepared host. There were 2 of us (1 vegan and 1 "all-eater") and he catered to both people individually. We were able to ask him lots of questions - his English was very good! There was a pleasant atmosphere and the sushi was excellent! Highly recommended♡

Exceeded expectations. Look for the metal sign in front of the restaurant. Yukihide spoke excellent english and made us feel at home. Instruction was fun and informative. Our group learned new tips for making vegan sushi and enjoyed the sushi we made.

Five stars all around! Hide was excellent to talk with, and we enjoyed making different types of vegan sushi. Ingredients were prepared ahead of time (which makes sense for the time allotted), and the specifics of how they were prepared and organized were not explicitly part of the class structure. However, we were able to ask Hide many questions about how he prepared and planned each rolls ingredients, which was very helpful! This is an excellent class for beginners learning to make vegan sushi.
