Experience Details

Step into a quiet corner of Setagaya, just a short walk from Shibuya, and discover the comfort of Japanese home cooking made with care.

In Yuka’s cozy kitchen, you will prepare simple, nourishing dishes that highlight natural flavors without added sugar or processed ingredients.

Yuka, a cooking instructor specializing in gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan cuisine, welcomes her guests with calm guidance and thoughtful attention. After a quick introduction to the menu and ingredients, you will put on an apron and start cooking together.

You will make Japanese staples like onigiri rice balls and a soft rolled omelet, learning techniques used in everyday meals. Feel the warmth of freshly cooked rice as you shape each onigiri and hear the gentle sizzle of egg as it forms delicate layers.

Along the way, Yuka explains key ingredients, how they differ, and how to substitute them for different dietary needs.

The class is flexible and welcoming. Recipes can be adapted for vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, and halal diets, and Yuka uses only natural, pesticide free ingredients so every dish feels wholesome and authentic.

This is more than a cooking class. It is a chance to slow down, enjoy Japanese home cooking, and share a meal in a warm local setting.

By the end, you will enjoy the meal you prepared and take home skills you can use in your own kitchen.
