Join a vegan sushi-making class led by professional sushi chefs in Kyoto! This plant-based masterclass takes you on a culinary journey using the freshest ingredients from Kyoto Central Wholesale Market.


The class begins with a brief introduction, followed by a hands-on session where you learn to make two kinds of sushi rice: germinated and white. Under the guidance of a seasoned sushi chef with over 10 years of combined sushi-making experience, you will craft eight types of vegan sushi using ingredients like soy meat, tapioca, eggplant, shiitake mushrooms, ginger, corn, and more.


All ingredients are entirely plant-based, designed to replicate their non-vegan counterparts, and offer traditional flavors with a plant-based twist. Once your sushi is ready, enjoy your handmade creations alongside your classmates and hosts.


This experience combines traditional culinary techniques with a respect for local ingredients, teaching you practical sushi-making skills that you can utilize for years to come. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced cook, you will leave with new knowledge, delicious vegan sushi, and lasting memories.
