Restaurant Details
From the moment you step through the door, to the final moments before leaving, the experience at Au Bon Vieux Temps evokes the spirit of historic France. Traditional main dishes are served alongside intoxicating sweets, as the owner is a renowned patissier. After dedicating over ten years of his life to refining his craft in France, Katushiko Kawata returned to Japan to open his own store. With an amazing selection of baked goods, chocolate, cakes and pastries, his passion for taste and authenticity comes through in every bite of their sweets. Offering a special menu at lunchtime, plat du jour is the “Dish of the Day” for customers dining in for lunch. Window-side tables are reserved especially for this, and each day they offer a different dish to maintain an element of surprise for their regulars. From bitter chocolate mousse cakes to passion fruit cakes with framboise sauce, there’s nothing quite like their combination of savory, meaty dishes followed by perfectly crafted desserts.
