Restaurant Details
This exquisite French restaurant is one of two housed in a huge chateau-like building found in one of the central districts of Tokyo. LA TABLE de Joël Robuchon is not to be confused with Joël Robuchon Restaurant — the latter is more of a fine dining experience that adheres to the formality of the Joël Robuchon brand, while the former is more relaxed, yet still enjoys the famous Robuchon quality cooking.
The restaurant has course menus and a la carte, providing you the option to mix-and-match your own dishes or trust the kitchen to serve you the highest recommended flavors of the brand. The Robuchon specialty, L'Oursin, is made of sea urchin in lobster jelly topped with smooth fennel cream.
This brand of restaurants focuses on stripping away all other distractions so that the focus falls primarily on the dishes, a fact evident in the simplistic decor of this outlet. Expect classic French cuisine with a tint of Japanese influence at LA TABLE de Joël Robuchon.
