Small but mighty, CafeDouce is a great place for vegetarians to find a quality Western-style breakfast and cafe food in the Hakone area.
Located by the Hakone Open Air Museum, CafeDouce is a comfortable little cafe that serves a wide variety of cafe food. CafeDouce is best known for its curry. Their signature baked curry set costs around 1000 yen and comes with a simple salad, baked curry dish, fruit jelly, and a cup of coffee. Many of the curry dishes also have a vegetarian option. Besides curry, there are also other vegetarian options, which have a dedicated section on the menu. There are also pizza and toast, staple foods found in cafes. This Hakone cafe has a cozy ambiance and the service is attentive. The staff makes sure to meet everyone’s dietary needs, and they also speak good English, making conversations with foreign visitors much easier. Overall, CafeDouce is a nice little cafe that is great for vegetarians looking for a quick relaxing meal in Hakone.
