CUCINA

Located less than ten minutes from the main JR station of Ogaki, CUCINA is an Italian dining playground spanning three floors of a building. The first floor features counter seats, with tables on the second, and a lounge bar above. As well as a choice of seating, you’ll also have a choice of two different menus. One features classic a la carte dishes, while the other features innovative course meals. Chef Tanaka has experience cooking across Italy, including at a three-star Venice restaurant, so expect some authentic and inventive creations to feature on the menu. There’s a touch of contemporary flare on show in the presentation, too. For example, in the eggs with truffle — served in a fake bird’s nest — or the sea urchin one spaghetti — served in a glass bowl which looks like an inverted sea urchin shell. There’s also a fantastic range of quality wines, and a great cocktail menu on offer too. This is a perfect place to enjoy some Michelin star dining, followed by a relaxed evening of drinks and conversation.
