Location
Grilled beef approached with the same delicacy as sushi, in the gourmet center of Japan.
Restaurant Details
Although the yakiniku style of grilling beef was brought to Japan by Koreans in the 20th century, it now feels as Japanese as sushi. This restaurant is one of the best places to try it in Ginza.
If you’ve ever been to one of the area’s many sushi restaurants, you’ll have experienced the care and attention with which the chefs plate their fish dishes. At Ginza Cobau, the chefs do the exact same thing with their premium black wagyu beef. They also pay just as much attention to the provenance of the meat that they serve, taking pains to check the conditions the cattle are raised in.
If you’re feeling adventurous, they also serve some of the offal cuts typically left out of Western cuisine, despite the fact that many of them are surprisingly delicious. There aren’t many yakiniku places of this caliber in central Tokyo, and even fewer which can match Cobau’s value for money.
