Hinakaya Restaurant
Enjoy the beautifully-presented kaiseki feast as you overlook the clear waters of Miya River.
Restaurant Details
You can find this recreation of a traditional farmhouse with a thatched roof up on a mountain village overlooking the great, clear Miya River. Hinakaya Restaurant is led by chef Kyosuke Matsubara, who spent years studying in and refining his culinary skills in other cities like Kyoto. A dining experience at this restaurant is nothing short of magical, with the calming atmosphere of the restaurant surrounded by peaceful nature.
Hinakaya Restaurant serves dishes based on traditional kaiseki ryori, a type of Japanese cuisine that originated in Kyoto where the chef himself trained — so, without a doubt, the dishes are authentic in taste. Depending on the season, the omakase course will change accordingly to suit the ingredients that are available. With the acute sense of the chef, each dish is prepared with the culinary technique that brings out the umami of the different ingredients the most. The one that’s customers’ favorite is the ayu kaiseki that’s available in summer.
