The name of this famously excellent Asakusa French restaurant was chosen because it exists in thanks to everyone who made it possible — from the producers of the ingredients used and the land they produce it on, to everyone in France and Japan who gave Chef Noboru Arai the skills and support to become one of Japan’s top French restaurateurs.
Excellent presentation is one of his strongest suits, with edible flowers tucked among the elements of his dishes to give them a feeling of incredible freshness and vitality.
The menu itself is as fresh as the presentation. Here the foie gras is paired with different seasonal ingredients throughout the year, meaning that you can always expect to be surprised by some interesting takes on such French classics, invented through Arai-san’s finely-tuned intuitions.
Completing the experience is the incredible hospitality of the owner’s wife, who serves tables wearing a traditional kimono. The third Sunday lunchtime of each month is kids’ day, giving busy parents the chance to experience top class French dining without having to leave the little ones behind.
