Twelve different pastas feature on the a la carte menu every day at this stylish Italian eatery in Tokyo. Each is accompanied by a house sauce which represents a distinct area of Italy, from the rich and heavy farmhouse cooking of the north to the light citrus flavors of the southern islands. It’s almost impossible to choose from all of the delicious sounding options, which is why the staff allow you to sample the dishes before deciding.
If you prefer to leave the choice of dishes up to the chef, you can opt for the set course menu, which changes monthly to focus on the dishes and ingredients of one Italian region. Alongside pasta, the meal features other dishes with top-grade ingredients such as duck foie gras and rabbit.
Owner Wataru Takeishi is a registered and qualified sommelier accredited by the Italian Sommelier Association. His collection of bottles is truly remarkable. With 1500 bottles available in the cellar, there’s sure to be a bottle to surprise and delight even the most well-versed connoisseur.
