Located in Nakagawa, a town found in the naturally beautiful region south of Fukuoka City, this French restaurant benefits from stunning views of mountain scenery which can be enjoyed through the large patio door windows.
The crystal-clear water which trickles down from these mountains is used in their kitchen to produce stunning French fusion dishes such as pumpkin soup with sea urchin and turtle, shrimp with caviar tartar sauce, and wild venison in red wine sauce.
The chef studied his craft at a Michelin starred restaurant in the Lorraine region of France, which inspired him to set up shop in a place of similar pastoral beauty. Their homemade bread and range of wines are both excellent, making this 2 Michelin star restaurant well worth the 30-minute drive (or one-hour train) from Fukuoka.
