Masago Saryo
Traditional Japanese cooking techniques enhanced with a touch of French presentation, for food as stunning as it is delicious.
Restaurant Details
This refined kaiseki restaurant in Yokohama prides itself on presentation, creating picture-perfect traditional washoku dishes, arranged with cues taken from European haute cuisine. The flavors, however, are thoroughly Japanese: the course menus are a procession of seasonal delicacies utilizing the freshest ingredients for each time of year.
These can be enjoyed at the counter for the best view of the chefs preparing each dish, or in private rooms which can seat up to 12. That makes Massage Saryo an ideal venue for a celebration with friends or colleagues.
In the daytime, Massage Saryo even offers a special experience course, in which guests enjoy the entire restaurant to themselves. Under the guidance of owner-chef Nobuhiko Irie, they will first enjoy an exquisite 7-course kaiseki meal, before learning how to hand-craft traditional wagashi sweets. These are then served in a traditional tea ceremony, to finish off the experience.
