Restaurant Details

This tempura restaurant in Tokyo is one of the best Michelin-starred deep-frying eateries in town. The meal is fully omakase (chef’s choice), with pieces of tempura served one after the other in a long-form, multi-course meal.

The exact ingredients change depending on the season, but you can always expect a generous helping of fresh, locally-caught seafood. The rolled cuttlefish tempura is as much a visual treat as a gastronomic one. Different types of seasoning are used to enhance the various ingredients.

The maestro behind the counter is from Okinawa, so some unique ingredients from those islands like Okinawan carrots and dragonfruit will also feature. He also used to work in a top kappo restaurant, so the tempura is usually preceded by some delicious traditional appetizers.

For alcohol lovers, there’s a great selection of wines and whiskies to go along with the meal, in addition to the usual sake and beer options.
