Sushi Takamitsu
Dine in luxury with one of Tokyo’s youngest sushi superstars.
Restaurant Details
This 11-seat sushi restaurant is situated in the upmarket neighborhood of Nakameguro. The young, social media savvy chef-owner has earned a reputation as a master of presentation, serving up his creations on top of Louis Vuitton briefcases.
However, this is by no means a case of style over substance. Having worked in sushi since the age of 16, Takamitsu Yasuda’s years of experience are evident in every expert cut he serves.
His course menus alternate between pieces of sushi and small snacks, with sake served throughout. Sea urchin is their specialty. Yasuda presents his guests with a wooden box containing a variety of different species from all around Japan.
The clientele is younger than in many other high-end establishments, and the shop grows in popularity by the day. Be sure to book well in advance.
