A Michelin-starred tempura master with a lifelong affinity for the craft serves up fine, fresh, and seasonal meals in stylish Nakameguro.

Restaurant Details

The owner of Ten-Masa grew up around great food, spending his childhood living in a kappo-style tempura restaurant run by his family. Now, he runs his very own in the stylish neighborhood of Nakameguro.

Here, you can enjoy tempura presented with the performativity of kappo, and the seasonal sensitivity of kaiseki. The omakase meals begin with sashimi and soup, followed by a series of perfectly crisp tempura pieces. To create them, a blend of two different sesame oils is used for a unique taste and perfect fry.

Sesame tofu is a signature dish, used to cleanse the palate between dishes, while a fantastic range of Japanese sake from around the country (with special attention paid to Aichi Prefecture) provide delicious pairings for the dishes.

Reservations are required to enter through the doors here, so be sure to book well in advance in order to ensure your name gets on the list.
