Yamazato (Hotel Okura Fukuoka)
Tempura / Fried Foods
Taste decades of Fukuoka’s history in this upscale and nostalgic hotel restaurant offering traditional Japanese dishes.
Restaurant Details
While the Hotels Okura across Japan are well-known for their impeccable service and masterful blend of Japanese aesthetic with modern comfort, they are also known for their myriad culinary offerings.
The name Yamazato is practically synonymous with Hotel Okura, and the Hotel Okura Fukuoka is no exception. Offering traditional Japanese dishes, including hotpot and kaiseki course meals in a comfortable, airy space, Fukuoka’s Yamazato has the added benefit of enjoying Fukuoka’s famously fresh seafood from the surrounding seas. This, undoubtedly, is best enjoyed at the 10-seat tempura counter, where expert chefs fry up beautiful tempura right before guests’ eyes.
Most of the restaurant’s table seating is semi-private, with lattice partitions separating guests from each other. But for an even more private option, three private rooms serve as the perfect place either for a private celebration or business meeting, while a dedicated tea room allows for tea ceremony events as well.
