These facts are understood well by the chef at Zeshin, a Michelin-starred kaiseki restaurant in Osaka. His chef’s choice menu adheres to tradition, with enough small surprises to keep you guessing throughout. Take for example the prawn stuffed with cream cheese, or the mackerel dotted with roasted rice embedded into the skin. The trip up to Nishitenma, on the northern side of Osaka’s city center, is more than justified by the incredible quality on offer here, and further so by the very reasonable pricing.
