Hands down, one of the BEST experiences I’ve had in Japan so far! Our hosts were incredibly warm, welcoming, and kind, making us feel right at home. We started with a beautiful traditional Japanese tea ceremony, followed by making all FOUR types of ramen ourselves! It was such a fun and memorable hands-on experience. They even surprised us with freshly prepared sushi! The sweetest part was the ending: our host personally wrote each of our names in Japanese on beautiful postcards for us to take home. Such a thoughtful keepsake! You can truly feel their passion for Japanese culture and genuine hospitality. I enjoyed every moment and wholeheartedly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Osaka. Thank you for giving us such a beautiful memory. Definitely a highlight of my Japan trip!

The Best Cultural Experience in Osaka!Taking Katsuji’s ramen class was such a special experience! He welcomed my friend Rachel and me into his home with so much warmth and immediately made us feel comfortable. He guided us through making shoyu, miso, tonkotsu, and curry ramen. Every variety was delicious, and getting to prepare and taste the different styles made the experience even more enjoyable. What made the class especially memorable was Katsuji himself. He shared little glimpses of his life and made us feel completely at home. Despite the language barrier, we connected so easily that it felt like spending time with a new friend. He also wrote each of us a beautiful personalized Japanese note with our names and a sweet message, which I’ll treasure. I left with a full stomach and wonderful memories. I would happily visit Katsuji again and take another cooking class next time I’m in the area!

Our hosts Sakura san and Choco chan where fantastic. We got great insights not only on how to prepare the Mochi and Dango but also the heritage, meaning, and importance of them in Japanese culture. It was worth every second, fully recommended

We had a fantastic time at the ramen cooking class with Yoshi and Amo in Tokyo! Both hosts were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The class felt authentic and was a great experience. We made the ramen noodles and delicious dumplings from scratch, while learning about the preparation of traditional ramen broth, which takes around 12 hours to cook. It was fun, informative, and a real highlight of our trip. Highly recommended!

Cannot say enough how lovely this entire experience was. Kazuki was the absolute best teacher and host. He made us feel so incredibly welcome, and I felt as if we became friends by the end of the experience! You learn so much about miso, the process to make it, and the various tastes of that exist! They also provide you with so many delicious treats. Truly wonderful, would absolutely love to do it again.

Amazing experience. Both of the guys who guided us through the class were incredibly kind, skilled, knowledgeable and truly professional, and so was the whole staff. They made everything easy and fun from start to finish. And the lunch we made was most likely the best lunch of my life. Highly recommended.

It was a wonderful experience that I highly recommend. I got a great insight into Japanese cuisine and daily life. Saykaks was very hospitable and warm. The food was delicious and made for a great ending. I would book the cooking class again.

This class was incredible! Takako-San is so knowledgeable and explains all of the ingredients and recipes so well. Such a wonderful experience in her home, I would highly recommend for anyone who loves Japanese food. Book this for your next Tokyo trip!

We had a great time at the mochi making class. Not only did we learn how to make mochi, Sakura also taught us the history of mochi. We highly recommend this class.

We had a very educational and fun time learning to make tofu with Marie. She is a patient teacher and it’s very clear she has a lot of experience! Would highly recommend.
