Experience Details
Hello, vegans in Nagoya! Are you feeling hungry? Often it can be troublesome trying to find vegan food in Japan due to language barriers and hidden elements of dishes that might contain animal products. Save yourself some time and energy while learning new cooking skills, and join this fun Nagoya Vegan Sushi Class to enjoy a Japanese foodie experience that’s totally vegan! You can learn tips and tricks about plant-based food in Japan during this awesome vegan cooking class, which also includes a humble tea ceremony.
During this private cooking class, you’ll make Nagoya vegan sushi in an authentic Japanese home in a local neighborhood to the north of Nagoya City. You’ll learn how to make inari sushi from sweet tofu skins, tomato and okra gunkan sushi (“battleship” style sushi), as well as tofu and black mushroom sushi, flavored with kelp! Of course, you’ll learn how to make the perfect sushi rice, too, as well as miso soup to have on the side, made with a vegan dashi soup stock. After the sushi making class, you’ll enjoy eating your delicious vegan sushi! This Nagoya Vegan Sushi Class also includes a traditional Japanese tea ceremony experience, where you can take a moment to enjoy matcha tea and the ritual of tea in Japan.
