Immerse yourself in the art of Japanese sushi in this hands-on cooking class in Tokyo’s historic Asakusa district.


Since 2023, this popular experience has focused on two themes: Japanese food and authentic cultural immersion. Learn to make classic nigiri sushi and maki rolls, mastering up to 20 pieces with 10 different ingredients under the guidance of expert instructors.


The 2-hour class begins with a brief introduction to sushi history and essential techniques for preparing maki and nigiri sushi.


Then, you will create your own sushi, with the skills you have just learned.


At the end of the class, enjoy your freshly made sushi and capture a memorable photo with a famous Asakusa landmark as your backdrop.


The class is conducted entirely in English by friendly, experienced instructors who make the session engaging and accessible. It’s a perfect way to connect with Tokyo’s culinary culture and leave with a delicious memory.


This experience can accommodate various dietary needs, including vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, and halal. Please notify your host at the time of booking, as ingredient adjustments cannot be made on the day of the class.

Next time in Tokyo, you must come! The staff were so lovely and the food was scrumptious. I went with my 13 year old daughter and she loved it. A definite must try.
