Make 13 types of sushi and tamagoyaki (Japanese rolled omelet) at this private cooking class in Niseko–a natural wonderland in northern Hokkaido. Master the art of sushi-making alongside professionally trained chefs, learn about ingredients, the surrounding culture, and techniques then refuel by enjoying your handmade lunch.


Welcome to Niseko, a charming ski resort town and winter sports haven in northern Hokkaido. But Niseko's charm isn't limited to the snowy season. Visiting during the summer opens up a whole new world of lush green landscapes, stunning flower fields, and outdoor activities like hiking, mountain biking, and golfing. Along with the breathtaking natural surroundings, it's a paradise for food enthusiasts too! Niseko boasts some of the finest seafood and fresh produce in Japan, due to its abundance of natural resources.


As you enter the kitchen arena, you’ll be greeted by your knowledgeable hosts. Settle in, apron up, and let the cooking games begin! You’ll learn how to make 13 (yes, 13) types of sushi, tamagoyaki (Japanese rolled omelet), and a clear broth soup. As part of this experience, you’ll learn the ins and outs of sushi-making. From ingredients and flavor combinations to cooking techniques and tools, master it all with confidence alongside professional chefs. Your instructor will also give you a lesson in how to use Japanese seasonings and ingredients, along with pantry essentials so you can recreate these meals at home. This class can be conducted from your accommodation (upon request) or at the private kitchen location.


Once you’ve sliced, prepped, rolled, assembled, and stirred your way through the recipe roster, enjoy the fruits of your labor by tucking into your handmade lunch.
