Itinerary:
Host introduction and menu/cooking overview
Home cooking experience
Dig in: Enjoy two appetizers, a main, and dessert
Enjoy a stunning view of Tokyo Tower
Meet Yoichi and his wife, your hosts, for this unique dinner party experience. Having traveled to over 150 cities worldwide, Yoichi is an experienced globetrotter eager to share his insights with guests during their visit. His wife, who attended a French culinary school in Tokyo, is passionate about cooking and loves hosting friends.
This unique experience is better described as a Japanese dinner party rather than a typical hands-on cooking class. Yoichi and his wife will handle all the necessary ingredients and cooking, allowing you to watch, cook together, ask questions, and learn homestyle Japanese dishes. They’ll use familiar ingredients available overseas, so you can recreate these recipes for your friends and family back home. The atmosphere is warm and relaxed, akin to being at a friend's house. You can actively join the cooking process or engage in conversation with the hosts while eagerly awaiting dinner time. Adding to the unforgettable experience, the view of Tokyo Tower is unmatched, and if the weather is fine, feel free to eat and drink on the terrace. Now onto the food… Expect a Japanese meal comprising two appetizers, one main dish, and dessert. The dishes served are subject to change, but see a sample menu below:
Appetizer: Agedashi-Tofu (deep-fried tofu), Eggplant Dengaku Miso (Miso-Glazed Eggplant), Kabocha-Ni (Simmered Pumpkin or Squash).
Main: Chicken Kara-age (Deep-Fried Chicken, Japanese Style), Oyako-don (Chicken and Egg Bowl), Okonomiyaki, Shougayaki (Ginger-Grilled Pork).
Dessert: We’ll keep this one a surprise, but we guarantee it’ll satisfy your sweet tooth.
