Literally translating to “Japanese food,” washoku is the broad word that can cover both Japanese cuisine in general or any Japanese-style meal. It’s a collection of traditional Japanese food that has drawn a lot of attention from the whole world, as it’s not only delicious but also notoriously healthy. The significance of washoku is proven where it’s even been registered in UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. In this “UNESCO Recognized Washoku” Cooking Class, you’ll learn how to make delicious washoku dishes from scratch at a Tokyo kitchen studio in Yotsuya.
