Amo & Yoshi were such amazing hosts and teachers....and most important the Ramen and global were AMAZING!!!!. The class was small (just my wife and i) which made it very personal and allowed us to enjoy our time without a large class distracting them with other students. Book this now! You won't be disappointed! Thank you so much for welcoming us in and teaching us to make the BEST GYOZA and BEST Ramen ive ever tasted!!! YUM!!!!!

If you are looking for an authentic ramen making experience that caters to a vegan diet, look no further. I've been to many vegan cooking classes in the US for american dishes and wanted have a true ramen making experience in the heart of it all. Kaori delivered; 15/10 experience! Kaori is an exceptional host, chef, and great person. She was able to provide an experience through the market identifying the ingredients for the ramen and gyoza, open her home to create an exceptional meal, and provided translations to common phrases you need to get around Japan. In addition, she even gave recommendations to local restaurants and shops. My husband and I had such an amazing time making ramen and gyoza and were too full after 😅 it was a highlight of our first trip to Japan. Definitely would recommend to everyone to book this experience before you spend time at any other tourist attraction. This experience beats any view you pay for in the city.

We had a lovely being with Bruce. Through him, we got to meet fellow patrons of the Yatai we visited. He was kind enough to share his take on Fukuoka and Japan, as well as the nice food we had. A very nice evening.

The tour was great! Kevin was the perfect guide. He took us to all sorts of hidden gems and we tried great food that we would not have tried otherwise. He genuinely was interested in making sure we had a great experience and clearly takes a lot of pride in living in Osaka

Fumi was incredibly nice. Everything was extremely clean, neat and organized. The food was delicious and the cooking process was fun and easy. Recipes are provided at the end. Highly recommended!

Our guide Bruce was very knowledgeable about the menus and the characteristics of each yakati and even back stories of the owners. It was a great evening.

We had an amazing tour with Hero and would highly recommend him. Hero was knowledgeable, friendly and passionate about Kyoto. He took us to two fantastic local restaurants that we would never have found on our own, giving us a real taste of authentic Kyoto. Afterward, we enjoyed a fascinating walking tour of Gion, where Hero shared the history and culture of the area, making it come alive. This was one of the highlights of our time in Kyoto. This was one of the coolest experiences I have ever had! I happened to meet the owner on Threads while posting about Japan, and learned she had a Ramen experience that took place at both her brother’s 3rd generation ramen factory and her house for dinner. We got to try their grandpa’s original ramen after flattening it and cutting it ourselves, as well as try salad, gyoza, and pork ramen soup that were all their mother’s and grand mother’s recipes. She even took care to make sure my mom’s shellfish allergy wasn’t an issue! We spent 5 hours with this kind family, had amazing and deep conversations about cultural similarities and differences, and even got to meet the family’s children, neighbor, and dogs! It was such a soulful experience and I cannot recommend enough. Might be the best experience I’ve ever had in Japan!

Hiro gave us a fabulous food experience in downtown Kyoto and informative walking tour through the Gion district. The restaurants he selected for us were perfect, and met our challenging food restrictions :) He was also a great photographer and knew the perfect locations to take the perfect photo!
