Highly recommend! Such a lovely experience. The people at Obubu tea farm were so friendly and knowledgeable. It’s a bit of a journey to get to the farm, but it’s a beautiful trip and once you arrive it’s a great four hours! We got up into the tea fields, tried nine of their beautiful teas with great information about each, had a delicious lunch and enjoyed learning about their processing facilities. A great day all around, our favorite thing we did this visit to Japan.

Emma was amazing. Very knowledgeable about the history of the area, as well as Japanese literature and culture. It was a delight to walk Gion and see Geisha, Maiko, and the beautiful and historic buildings. We ended the evening with an exceptional meal at a local Kaiseki restaurant, where the service can only be described as fantastic. The food was well presented and flavorful, and Emma ensured communicated with the staff at each course and explained what we were eating, as well as how to traditionally enjoy it. The other members of our tour all found Emma to be knowledgeable, affable, and an excellent guide.
Enjoy this tour, and ask for Emma!

What a lovely day at the tea farm. I feel like we had an advanced degree in tea. Being able to taste nine teas was wonderful. We did not know all tea is from the same plant, but the differences are in how they are harvested and processed determine the type of tea. Seeing the tea plants up on the mountain was awe-inspiring. We loved meeting all of the interns that worked there from all over the world. Highly recommend this!
