Hiramatsu opened in 1982 in Hiroo, Japan. Then, to spread French culture in Japan, Hiramatsu Hakata opened in 1999 in Fukuoka. The chef is originally from Hakata and he creates artistic French cuisine by using local ingredients.
On Hiramatsu’s lunch menu they have 4 kinds of courses: PLAISIR (3,800 yen), Menu de SAISON (5,600 yen), SPECIAL (7,000 yen), and TRUFFE (25,000 yen). PLAISIR is only served on weekdays and includes 5 different kinds of dishes.
For dinner, they also have 4 course menus: DINER (9,000 yen), HIVER (13,500 yen), LE MENU (18,000 yen), and TRUFFE (25,000 yen). The course menus include several dishes, from appetizer to dessert, all using local fruits, vegetables, fish, and meat. You can also add duck foie gras wrapped in cabbage or black truffle foie gras with rice for an extra fee.
