Making Nerikiri with Satoko was one of the highlights of my trip! She is so capable, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic, and is gracious enough to hold the class in her beautiful home. The class was easy to get to on the train with a short walk from the station. I learnt so much about wagashi and nerikiri making and I can’t wait to make some at home. Thank you Ogawa-san! I had a beautiful time.

We had a wonderful time learning how to make your own rice cake making different kinds of shape and colors. Kaoru san made it easy as was our first time making it. Also I loved to get to know about the meaning behind the colors of mochi and how it is connected to the season and the Japanese culture. Was fantastic.
