Tokyo Teishoku Cooking Classes

I had the absolute pleasure of attending the fermentation class today! It was incredibly eye-opening to see how knowledge of miso and other traditional elements can be beautifully applied to everyday cooking. From appetizers and mains to desserts, I was truly amazed by the versatility of these fermented ingredients. The instructor was exceptionally patient and attentive, taking the time to answer all of my questions with great care. I highly recommend this class to anyone looking to elevate their culinary journey and experience the true magic of fermentation!

We are still talking about our wonderful cooking experience with Chieko. Even though my wife grew up in a Japanese American home, Chieko taught us traditional methods we are anxious to try on our own. We took our teen granddaughter who loved the experience!

We had amazing time! The hosts were super welcoming, shared a lot of their food stories and had amazing English skills! 10/10 we will definitely come back for a different menu.

We had a great time and even though I know how to cook some Japanese dishes, I learned many valuable tips and how to cook the Japanese make stock using the real kelp and bonito vs out of a package. The instructors were very friendly and knowledgeable.

The kids loved making the pancakes, noodles, soup, salad and rolled egg. Thank you so much also for sending us home with the recipes.
