Originating in China, this noodle sensation went to Japan and underwent a flavorful transformation, adapting to local tastes and preferences. From humble street food to a global obsession, ramen's journey keeps evolving, one bowl at a time. Meet Shu; he’s a ramen chef on a mission. With his own ramen shop, Shu will help make anybody an up-and-coming ramen chef by renting out his kitchen and teaching his ways. Shu's ramen is a multi-day masterpiece, but he's got it all prepped, so you can dive in straight away. He’ll begin the lesson by explaining the utensils and ingredients used to make a perfect bowl of steaming ramen. You’ll learn how to boil the ramen, prepare the soup, and craft the presentation before reaching the finale; eating it! You’ll choose from four different types of ramen to make and eat, like seafood chicken white soup ramen with a clam broth or your standard soy sauce ramen. You’ll even learn how to make ramen with chicken broth which is uncommon but delicious! And at the end, Shu will make sure you have a recipe to take home so you can recreate these flavors again and again. And there you have it, a journey through Japanese ramen, a story of culinary artistry, adaptation, and sheer scrumptiousness. From its Chinese roots to its flavorful evolution in Japan, ramen's narrative is a true feast for the senses. And with Shu's passion for sharing his ramen wizardry, the tale continues in the most delicious way possible by putting you in the chef's hat!
