For whisky experts and new enthusiasts alike, this whisky tasting and distillery tour in Kagoshima is a rare chance to see the whisky-making process in action while in Kyushu. In this tour, you’ll visit two whisky distilleries, where you’ll interact directly with craftspeople and learn more about local whisky-making processes.
While the default version of this experience involves visiting two whisky distilleries, there’s also an option to visit a whisky distillery and a shochu distillery instead (see Options below).
Experience itinerary:
- Meet your host at the arranged meeting point
- Tour the MARS Tsunuki Distillery and taste three kinds of Tsunuki whisky
- Enjoy lunch at MARS Tsunuki Distillery’s Hojo Guest House, overlooking a tranquil Japanese garden
- After lunch, visit Kanosuke Distillery. Tour the venue, interact with whiskey craftspeople, and enjoy a special tasting set with three kinds of whisky at the Mellow Bar inside the distillery, which has a scenic view of the blue ocean from the counter
