Visit the Kanosuke Whisky Distillery in Kagoshima and discover how whisky is made, particularly the much-awaited 2018 “new pot” whisky which is scheduled for release in 2021. You will also be able to taste Kagoshima whisky at Kanosuke’s new tasting room and bar. From the bar counter, you even have a scenic view of the undulating blue ocean!
Komasa Jyozo Co., Ltd., established in 1883, is known both locally and overseas for their shochu, a traditional Japanese distilled liquor. They have expanded into whisky making and are implementing a plan to use their shochu barrels for whisky maturation. Given their long history of making shochu, in this Kagoshima Whisky Tasting and Distillery Tour at Kanosuke, you’ll also get a chance to try Japanese shochu in addition to Japanese whisky.
