Experience Details
Step into the vibrant atmosphere of Tsukiji, Tokyo’s most famous historic market district, and uncover the secrets of sake with a professional international sake instructor.
Once the site of Japan’s largest wholesale fish market, Tsukiji is now a bustling hub for fresh seafood, produce, and specialty shops.
In this 1.5-hour small-group experience, you’ll taste four distinct types of sake, each with its own aroma, flavor profile, and ideal food pairing.
Your host will guide you through the art of sake brewing, from rice polishing to fermentation, and share fascinating insights into its history. You’ll learn how to choose sake at shops, tips for enjoying it back home, and discover dishes that perfectly complement each variety.
Unlike most sake tastings, this experience allows you to bring in fresh delicacies from Tsukiji Market to pair with your drinks or purchase rare bottles from across Japan (additional cost).
With a warm, cozy atmosphere and plenty of time for questions, you’ll leave with new knowledge, refined taste buds, and maybe a favorite sake to take home.
