This tour takes you to Fushimi, famous for the iconic red torii gates at Fushimi Inari Shrine. Embark on a tour with an expert guide who will take you to some of his favorite spots for the tastiest sake. Introducing Seigo, a passionate sake sommelier boasting an official certification from the renowned Sake Service Institution and the visionary behind this sake-focused tour group. Seigo and his dedicated team of well-informed guides are committed to making every encounter engaging and educational. Whether you're led by Seigo himself or one of his accomplished team members, you can expect a captivating exploration of Japanese sake's rich history, culture, and intricate production methods. The adventure begins with a visit to a local shrine to ask for blessings galore–happiness, health, success, you name it. Then, dive into some top notch breweries, a hip liquor store, and a food haven. You'll grasp the essence of sake making, comparing diverse types and brands. You'll taste the spectrum from the finest unfiltered and unpasteurized sake to the seasonal sips. Imagine stepping into breweries that have been thriving for almost four centuries. You'll get the inside scoop on their production methods and sip their freshly crafted nectar. A tour of Kyoto’s largest brewery includes a museum tour and a neat parting gift (a small bottle of sweet sake). The final stop is a food court wonderland showcasing all things Fushimi sake.
