Experience Details
Step into a local Osaka kitchen and experience Japanese home cooking in a hands-on, welcoming setting.
Whether you are passionate about food or simply curious about Japanese cuisine, this class gives you the chance to learn how to prepare iconic dishes from scratch and enjoy them as part of a shared meal.
One of the most unique parts of this experience is that the menu is decided by the first booking of the day.
You can choose between two courses. Menu Course A includes sukiyaki, tempura, and a rolled omelet. Menu Course B features a wagyu beef rice bowl, chicken nanban, and sashimi.
Depending on the chosen menu, you will begin by preparing dishes like a wagyu beef rice bowl, where you cook and season tender wagyu beef before serving it over fluffy rice.
You will also make chicken nanban, a crispy-fried chicken dish from Miyazaki, topped with a tangy tartar sauce.
You will then move on to frying tempura, learning how to achieve a light and crispy texture with vegetables and seafood.
Another hands-on highlight is tamagoyaki, a Japanese rolled omelet that requires careful technique to achieve its soft layers.
If sukiyaki is on your menu, you will finish with a comforting hotpot of thinly sliced beef, tofu, mushrooms, and vegetables, simmered in a sweet and savory broth, shared at the table.
Throughout the class, your local chef will guide you with practical tips, ingredient insights, and stories about Japanese food culture.
By the end, you will have enjoyed a full home-style meal and gained the confidence to recreate these dishes in your own kitchen.
