Experience Details

What’s the secret behind Osaka’s reputation as Japan’s foodie capital? Find out while learning to make two of the city’s soul foods with an experienced local chef in this cooking class.

First up on the menu is okonomiyaki, a sizzling grilled pancake made with cabbage and batter and topped with your preferred vegetables, sauces and meat.

Your next dish will be the classic takoyaki, grilled octopus dumplings that are one of Osaka's most easily recognizable culinary symbols. If you’d like, you can replace one of the two for yakisoba, a stir-fried noodle dish famous for its savory flavors.

Your host, a seasoned local who has lived in Osaka for over 60 years, will guide you through the cooking session, sharing many insights and tips to make your meal taste truly authentic and teaching you the coveted secrets of Osaka cuisine.

After cooking, you’ll enjoy your homemade dishes and take home the recipes to recreate at home any time you’d like to bring the flavors of Osaka to your kitchen, no matter where you may be.
