Experience Details

Take your Tokyo exploration to new heights in this sightseeing tour with panoramic views and delicious foods. You’ll meet your guide and walk to the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building observation deck, from where you’ll enjoy spectacular panoramic views of the city from the 45th floor, including the Meiji Jingu Shrine, Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden, Tokyo Skytree, and, weather permitting, Mt. Fuji. After soaking in the sights, you’ll eat at a long-established traditional Japanese washoku restaurant popular with the locals. You can opt for either sushi, tempura, soba noodles, or tonkatsu cutlet and dig into your meal before continuing to explore the area. Your guide will then take you to Shinjuku’s “Sleepless Town”, Kabukicho, an entertainment district famous for its restaurants and nightlife. Here you’ll explore Golden Gai, a small hub packed with over 200 restaurants and bars, and visit the Hanazono Shrine. You’ll see the Isetan Shinjuku department store that first opened as a kimono shop in 1886, and Don Quijote, an enormous store that sells everything from groceries to shoes (and has great souvenirs). Before you know it, it’ll be ramen time! Tonkotsu ramen is a Japanese noodle soup made from pork bones dissolved into a milky white broth. If you’re really hungry, you can ask for extra noodles! Finally, you’ll stroll to the Shinjuku Alta building, a shopping center and landmark next to Shinjuku Station, where you’ll finish the tour and say your goodbyes. Experience flow: -Meet your host at Yodobashi Camera Shinjuku West Main Store -Visit the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building Observation Deck for photos and sightseeing (50 minutes) -Have a Japanese-style meal at a local restaurant (50 minutes) -Take photos at the Godzilla Head (15 minutes) -Check out Golden Gai (15 minutes) -Visit Hanazono Shrine (15 minutes) -Eat at a tonkotsu ramen restaurant (30 minutes) -The tour ends at JR Shinjuku East Exit Station Square
