What You’ll Experience

During this cooking class, you will be introduced to the rich flavors of Surinamese cuisine, using authentic local ingredients. Guided by an experienced Surinamese cook, who has inherited traditional techniques and recipes from her ancestors, you will learn how to prepare beloved dishes such as pom, moksi alesi, and eksi kuku. After observing and learning the essentials, you will have the opportunity to step into the kitchen yourself and recreate these flavorful dishes.
