Immerse yourself in the craft of sushi-making in this sushi masterclass at Sushi Hajime restaurant in Shibuya. Led by the restaurant's head chef and manager, Takahoshi Hiroshi, uncover the best secrets to making amazing nigiri, from preparing the rice to slicing fish and grinding fresh wasabi. After the lesson, you'll enjoy the sushi you prepared with omakase sushi pieces crafted by the chef, a delectable dessert, sake and a fine tea tasting. Experience flow: -Arrival: Enter the venue, put on an apron and hat and take a seat. -Meet the chef: The chef greets everyone and provides an overview of the schedule and the basics of Edomae sushi. -Sushi rice preparation: Learn the basic process of preparing sushi rice and observe the chef mix in the restaurant's original vinegar. -Japanese knife demonstration: Watch the chef slice fresh ingredients using a Japanese knife. -Grating fresh wasabi: The chef will grate fresh wasabi for you to sample. -Making sushi: Under the guidance of Chef Takahoshi, make five pieces of nigiri sushi. (This part takes about one hour) -Sushi lunch: Enjoy the sushi you made and compare it with two pieces prepared by the chef. Enjoy side dishes such as tempura and miso soup and a glass of sake. -Dessert and tea: Conclude the meal with a dessert and high-quality tea tasting. -Photos and Souvenirs: Take photos with the chef and receive a souvenir. This hands-on lesson is suited for sushi enthusiasts of all skill levels, promising a truly unforgettable journey into the intricate world of sushi making. Remarks

Depending on availability, another chef might lead this class instead of Chef Takahoshi.
For children, the same sushi menu will be provided, but soft drinks will be served instead of sake.
Additional sake is available for purchase during the meal (not included in the experience price).
Halal, Kosher, vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free requests may be accommodated (subject to availability). Please inquire upon booking.
The venue may be a bit cold for some guests, so we recommend bringing warm clothing with you when participating.
